In an MBA program, there is always group work + it is not always easy to get together as a group.
Until now - NOW you can collaborate + meet online.
In this session you will:
- share a document - so that all can contribute to the work
- meet online in Google 'hangout' so that you can discuss the work with each other
- progress your work from
- showing me what you have done...to...
- showing me how you think
Purpose:
Practice collaborating to produce a paper or presentation - essential skills for hotel management positions.
Assignment:
- Use an article/video from someone you have followed on Twitter - you will provide analysis of the info in the article/video
- Create a doc in Google docs -
- On the Google doc - Post a text link to the article or Tweet that you are using for your analysis + write a brief of the key points
- Add your insights to the key points
- Insights = What is your take on the impact of the information in the article/video?
- Description = what was said in the article = NOT MBA level work
- Opinion = I agree or disagree = NOT MBA lebel work
- Invite 2 classmates to comment on your insights, on the Google doc - I am sure they will be superb
5.Each of the 2 classmates should put their name on your Google doc
+ then post their comments on your INSIGHTS on the shared doc
6. Set up a Google Plus hangout to discuss the essential ideas in the selected
article/video
7. Take a screenshot of the hangout + post in your blog ...
with a link to the shared doc in Google docs
8. in your blog post with the link to Google docs + screenshot of the hangout -

- Yes, how so?
- No, why not?
BONUS POINTS - Use Prezi for Steps 7 + 8 - you'll be hooked.
